Tasting Notes: This purple-coloured wine seduces with its fresh aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and violet. The palate is dominated by taut and precise tannins. Presents excellent concentration as well as a refreshing explosion of ripe fruit flavors.

 

Wine & Soul

Wine&Soul is run by Jorge Serôdio Borges and his wife Sandra Tavares da Silva, two of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers. Born from a couple’s dream, Pintas was born in 2001 and named after the family’s Pointer dog.

Wine&Soul wines represent the spirit of a new wave of Douro wines, of high quality and strong personality, from single plots of very old vines, with low yields and limited production, highlighting the character of each vineyard and the particular nature of each unique terroir. The wines are created with a minimalist oenological intervention, allowing the terroir and nature to fully express themselves.

Over the years, the family has grown and today not only produces Port wines and Douro wines, but also maintains the tradition of producing olive oil from the olive groves surrounding the vineyards.
