Amor é Cego (Love is Blind) is a premium, certified organic extra virgin olive oil produced from thousand-year-old wild Galega olive trees (native to Portugal) grown in Évora in the Alentejo region.
The oil is cold extracted and only by mechanical means. The olives are picked by hand when they are still green in order to obtain a fruitier oil and processed the same day they are gathered in order to preserve all the properties of the oil.
It is a balanced and harmonious olive oil that presents all the characteristics of the Galega olive variety: ripe and fruity, with notes of tomato and dried fruits, and a slightly spicy finish.

Monte da Oliveira Velha
The olives used to produce Amor é Cego olive oil are grown at the Monte da Oliveira Velha (Old Olive Grove) located 17 km from Évora and 25 km from Estremoz in the Alto Alentejo region in Portugal. The olive grove, planted more than six decades ago by the grandfather of João Miguel Rosado - owner of the olive grove and producer of the olive oil - is managed organically, allowing the thousand-year-old wild Galega olive trees to grow at their own pace. The name of the oil represents the desire to preserve a small olive grove that has only 231 olive trees and whose image is inspired by a clay doll from the Estremoz region, which bears the same name.
