Tasting Notes : This Tawny Port, aged in very old 600-litre oak barrels, is a blend of different wines aged on average 10 years. Rich aroma, combining notes of dried fruits, praline, candied orange and ending with notes of tobacco. Very fresh on the palate, rich and velvety. Very persistent and complex finish.

 

Quinta do Vallado

Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest and most famous estates in the Douro Valley. Built in 1716 and acquired in 1818 by António Bernardo Ferreira (uncle and father-in-law of the legendary Antónia Ferreira), Quinta do Vallado has since then been mainly engaged in the production of Port wines. In 1993, after the sale of the family business “Casa Ferreira”, the company decided to expand its activities to the production, bottling and marketing of independent brand wines.
Today, Quinta do Vallado is recognized by various national and international bodies, being part of the Douro Boys group.
