CARM

CARM (Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira) is a company that is still fully owned by the family that started its business, and whose archives date back to the mid-17th century. The farm and its estates are proudly located in one of the oldest and noblest demarcated wine regions in the world - the Alto Douro Vinhateiro (the Upper Douro Wine Region) - the cradle of the best oils in Portugal. CARM is considered one of the pioneers of organic olive growing in Portugal. The control of the entire production cycle and its monitoring is ensured and certified by a recognized official entity, Sativa. CARM also adheres to the rigorous procedures of the USDA NOP (US Department of Agriculture National Organic Program) and the IMO certification in Switzerland.

CARM has always pursued the goal of producing high quality olive oils and wines, using only olives and grapes from its own estates, approximately 60 hectares of almond trees, 220 hectares of olive groves and 200 hectares of vineyards located around the village of Almendra, in the best part of the Alto Douro, included in the Foz Côa Valley Archaeological Reserve. In addition to olive oils and wines, CARM also produces a range of gourmet specialties, vinegar, organic honey and premium almonds.
