Vintage Port 2017
Alcohol: 19.5% Vol.
Grape varieties: Tinta Amarela, Souzão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca
Tasting notes : In the glass, this Port is a deep red-purple, enhanced with ruby highlights. A rich and delicate bouquet of cherries, blueberries, tobacco and dark chocolate. Mineral notes, smoky spices and subtle woody notes add a layer of sophistication. Long and smooth finish. A young but exquisitely flavoured Port. Its exceptional complexity will allow it to age for a long time.
Quinta do Vale Meão
Quinta do Vale Meão is one of the most prestigious estates in Portugal and is among the best wine producers in the Douro. With an area of 62 hectares of vineyards, its owner, Francisco Olazábal, follows in the footsteps of his great-grandmother D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who died in 1896 and was an emblematic figure in the winemaking tradition of the Douro region. The legendary “Barca Velha” wine was developed and produced until 1998 at Quinta do Vale Meão.
